At 11:30am local time on 07-Aug-00 a tank truck was overfilled during a transfer from a storage tank. 2500 gallons of diesel was spilled but only 2400 gallons affected the marshy area. The marsh drains into the Pratt Reed Reservoir. At the time of notification absorbents and boom had been deployed and a vac truck was on scene. The case is being overseen by the CT Department of Enviornmental Protection. Clean-up is underway. CASE CLOSED.
