At 4:30 PM on February 28, 2000 Murphy E&P reported that the mobile offshore drilling rig OCEAN CONCORD experienced a malfunction causing a separation between two oil well liners. This resulted in a discharge of approximately 175 barrels of crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico. The drilling rig is located in position 28-23.32 N / 089-27.12 W. The malfunction was corrected and skimmers recovered 40 barrels of oil. As of March 2, 2000 no recoverable product remains and clean up operations have been secured. CASE CLOSED.
