On 24 April, the Kentucky Department of Environmental Protection reported that Northstar Petroleum had a release of approximately 7,000 gallons of crude oil from a storage tank at their Calhoon, KY facility. The cause of the release is not known. The product was released into an unnamed slough, which feeds into the Green River about .25 miles from spill site. The material is likely to make it to the Green River. The facility has some clean up equipment on scene and the release has been secured. EPA IV is FOSC. CASE PENDS.
