The T/V MICHAEL ran aground outside the mouth of Delaware Bay at 0645 on 29 January 2000. The tanker is carrying 38,178,000 gallons of Nigerian Light Crude Oil. The vessel was refloated on 30 January and anchored at the mouth of the bay. The vessel will be inspected for damage 31 January. If damage is found, the vessel will subsequently be lightered. No damage or pollution has been sighted emanating from the vessel. CASE CLOSED.
