On May 3 at 11:30 a.m. Engineered Carbons Incorporated discovered a four-inch diesel pipeline had ruptured and released 1500 gallons of diesel into an unnamed spring two miles west of Borger, Texas. The spring feeds into Rock Creek, which feeds into the Canadian River. The material was contained in the creek using boom. The Environmental Protection Agency Region VI is acting as Federal on Scene Coordinator. Engineered Carbons Inc. hired a contractor and the Texas Natural Resources Conservation Commission is overseeing the clean up. CASE CLOSED.
