On May 11, a portion of an oil line in the East White Lake Field, Section 16 suffered an equipment failure, releasing 80-90 barrels of crude oil into the water. The product is contained in a boat slip and boomed off approximately 10 miles west of Intercoastal City, LA. Resource Acquisitions Corporation, the reporting party, has contracted Oilmop to conduct clean up operations. MSO Morgan City will monitor the clean up.
