On the morning of 25 January, MSO Morgan City received a report of 11,550 gallons of synthetic drilling mud released to the Gulf of Mexico, Mississippi Canyon, Block 248. An investigation found a damaged weld on Chevron''s mud pit at the point of discharge. An investigation was conducted by MSO Morgan City. CASE CLOSED
