| Description: At approximately 0615 local time, an Amtrak passenger train collided with the rear of a Union Pacific coal train traveling east in Windover, UT. One Amtrak locomotive derailed. Injuries were reported but the number and severity are unknown. Rescue operations are in progress and FRA personnel arrived on-scene to conduct a full-scale investigation. The cause of the collision is as yet unknown. CASE CLOSED. |
