On April 12, 1999 the Cargill Company was unloading soybean oil from several tank cars. During unloading, some of the tank cars began to roll down the track and 2 cars derailed. About 10,000 gallons of material was released. 5,000 gallons of the material reached Ballast Mill Creek. The creek was dammed and vacuum trucks were used to remove material from the water. CASE PENDS.
