On November 8, 1999 at approximately 1510, 8,000 barrels of bulk distillate were released from a blending tank in a combination liquid and vapor form. The material entered Chadwick's Creek but was contained before impacting the Big Sandy River. Workers have recovered approximately 1800 barrels of material from the creek and are pumping down the remaining contents from the tank. EPA Region IV is the on scene coordinator. CASE PENDS.
