SITUATION: On Tuesday April 22, 1997, a medium crude oil spill occurred on a oil production barge in Murphy Lake as a result of barge overfill. Cleanup operations have been completed in all zones. 900 foot of boom is being left in place to catch any remaining product. 9400 gallons of oil and 160 cubic yards of debris/sorbents recovered. Facility is back online. MSO Morgan City to complete investigation. CASE CLOSED THIS UNIT.
