SITUATION: On Tuesday January 14, 1997, a medium gasoline spill occurred when a tank truck with a capacity of 20,000 gallons overturned on the Dunn Memorial Bridge between Albany, NY and Rennesselaer, NY. As a result of the accident, approximately 11,000 gallons of gasoline was discharged into the Hudson River. An estimated 3,200 gallons have been removed from a pooled area. Shoreline assessment has been conducted in the immediate vicinity with no visible apparent damage to the environment. NYSDEC is on scene and acting FOSC . CASE CLOSED THIS UNIT.
