ACCIDENT
DESCRIPTION:
On the day of the accident three workers
entered a tank containing ployken pipeline adhesive. These
adhesive gives highly toxic fumes from the solvent toluene. All
three workers were fatally overcome by the fumes. They
were later found. Since the autopsy did not reveal any
injuries, even of a minor nature, it is assumed the workers
climbed into the tank of their own free well. It is believed
that one of the workers entered the tank first perhaps
to recover a dropped object. When he was found to be having
difficulties, it is believed that two workers entered the tank
to rescue him and were
also overcome.
