| Description: On July 04, 2002 at 08:00, Mr. Mark Stivek of Enbridge Energy, reported that an underground 34 inch transmission pipeline released approximately 50 barrels of crude oil. The cause of the discharge is unknown. The pipeline is in a remote swampy area. Further contact with EPA Region V revealed that the spill amount was in fact between 2000-6000 barrels. All the material is contained in the swampy area. CASE PENDS |
