| Description: On August 22, 2002, at 1544 the National Response Center received a report concerning a tractor trailer which overturned and discharged 4000 gallons of #6 fuel oil onto the ground in Buckingham Courthouse, VA. There was one injury requiring hospitalization and Route 60 was closed in both directions. The owner of the tractor trailer is Whitehurst Transport. A contractor has been hired to handle the clean-up. EPA III is the Federal On Scene Coordinator. CASE CLOSED. |
