Description:

At 11:45 pm on January 19, 2002 a tanker truck had a tank rupture on HWY 146 five miles south of FM 2665 in Wild Country, Texas, spilling 7,560 gallons of crude oil into a road side ditch. There were no injuries, road closures, or waterways impacted due to the spill. The material is contained and is being removed with a vacuum truck. Once the free standing material is removed the contaminated soil will be excavated. CASE CLOSED.
