| Description: At 9:00 a.m. CST., on February 8, 2002, a storage tank was overfilled causing the release of 2300 gallons of crude oil condensate onto the ground and into an unnamed creek. The incident took place 3 miles east of Beckville, Texas. There were no injuries or evacuations as a result of the incident. The creek has been dammed off and a vacuum truck is being used to retrieve the released material. EPA VI is the Federal On Scene Coordinator. CASE CLOSED. |
