| Description: On December 19, 2002, 7,500 gallons of Number 2-D fuel oil discharged from an oil/water separator when a tank truck operator accidentally filled the oil/water separator instead of the facility's holding tank. 3,000 gallons of the material entered French Creek. A contractor was hired for cleanup and 3,000 feet of boom was deployed to prevent the material from entering the Black River. Three vacuum trucks are on scene. Four USCG Cleveland pollution investigators are on scene. CASE CLOSED |
