Description:

On June 27th the tug LA MADONNA collided with the offshore supply vessel GREG DANOS causing it to sink with 24,000 gallons of diesel and 800 gallons of lube oil onboard. The collision took place 15 miles offshore of Cameron, LA in 36 feet of water. The salvage plan includes divers who will attempt to secure any material being released. It is undetermined if there has been a release of material at this time due to darkness and on scene weather. MSO Port Arthur is investigating. CASE PENDS
