| Description: On June 25, 2002 at 5:40pm, the General Motors Flint, MI Assembly Plant experienced a power failure, which caused the release of an estimated 10,000 gallons of liquid industrial waste, 1,000 gallons of which entered a storm drain and, subsequently, Swartz Creek. The release began at 6:00pm. Vacuum trucks have been deployed and are being used to conduct the cleanup of the creek. CASE CLOSED |
