| Description: At 5:15 p.m. CST, on January 21, 2002, chemical feed pumps were left running causing 1650 gallons of sodium bisulfite to be released from the cooling system into the Menomonee River. There were no injuries or evacuations as a result of the incident. The release has been secured and clean-up is now underway. MSO Milwaukee is the Federal On Scene Coordinator. CASE CLOSED. |
