| Description: At 11:15am local time a barge was overfilled resulting in a spill of 1,000 gallons of number 2 diesel fuel. All of the product spilled into a slip on the Calcasieu Ship Channel. The reporting party stated that the fuel was completely contained within the slip and was closed off by a boom. The area contained is approximately 800ft x 300ft. The source of the spill was secured and a contracted company has been hired to conduct the clean up. CASE CLOSED. |
