On 29 JANUARY 1999, at 0600, 4600 gallons of mineral spirits was discovered to have been released. The release occured at Wholesale Petroleum Inc. located in Owensboro, KY. The release came from a pump which was vandalized. The material went to the sewer system, a dam was built in front of the sewer drain and the water will be treated in sewer system. DNR, Fire Marshall and State Water Quality were on scene conducting investigation. CASE CLOSED.
