On July 10, 1999 a railcar derailed in the Union Pacific Railyard in Shreveport, LA. An estimated 25,000 gallons of 2-Ethyl Hexanol was released into a culvert leading to the Red River. An estimated 16,500 gallons were recovered. Site assesment revealed no more product in the water was recoverable. CASE CLOSED.
