On December 14, 1999 at 05:30 local time a multiple vehicle accident occurred. A semi-truck carrying twelve cylinders of Methyl Bromide overturned. No release of Methyl Bromide has been reported. Due to the accident, I-95 was closed in both directions near exit 126 in Spotsylvania, VA. Three area schools cancelled classes and at least three homes were evacuated as a precaution. The north bound lanes of I-95 were reopened shortly after 10:30. At least five people involved in the accident were taken to local hospitals. Local hazmat teams are on scene conducting clean up. CASE CLOSED.
