On August 09, 1999 the barge WTC 456 collided with barge AO331 on the Ohio River. The WTC 456 has been lightered and moved to mile 827.5 on the lower descending bank. Department of Natural Resources Representatives did an assessment of the shoreline and found no apparent damage. Vessels are now being allowed to transit the area one way and a no wake zone has been established. Lightering will continue for the remaining cargo on the involved barges. CASE CLOSED
