On October 2, at 1900, the National Response Center received a report from the Kentucky Department of Environmental Protection of a diesel oil tank rupture in Harrodsburg, KY. This is a one million gallon above ground tank but it is unknown how much oil has been released. The Kentucky DEP is classifying this spill as a major pollution incident due to the reported 3 foot by 3 foot hole in the tank. Federal and state environmental officials are en route.
