On February 19, 1999 the M/V Hekifu was reported aground in the vicinity of Rocky Point, Dutch Harbor, Alaska. Vessel was re-floated and is now moored to the Magone Marine Service dock. Divers completed underwater hull survey and determinedthe #2C bunker tank had been breached. The material in that tank was transferred to #3P tank. No sheen was sighted. Booms are in place around vessel. MSO Anchorage investigators will continue to monitor repair efforts. CASE CLOSED.
