On February 19, 1999 the M/V Hekifu was reported aground in the vicinity of Rocky Point, Dutch Harbor, Alaska. Four local tugs are attempting to free the vessel. The vessel is in the process of de-ballasting. There are 20454 gallons of diesel and 129,360 gallons of Bunker C on board. It is unknown if there was any material released. MSO Anchorage has transported equipment and personnel to Dutch Harbor. CASE PENDS.
