Early morning on June 2, 1999 a truck carrying 40000 lbs of explosive A powder overturned on the I-95 / I-495 interchange. The rollover caused an evacuation of 150 private citizens and shut down I-95 for the entire day. The material was offloaded onto another truck and the roadway was reopened by 9:00 P.M. that day. No injuries were reported. CASE CLOSED.
