On April 8, 1999 a Conrail freight train struck a tanker truck at a crossing. The lights and flashers were reported to be working at the time of the accident. Two railroad employees were trapped on the train for a short period of time. State Route 13 is closed. The two locomotives derailed and an unknown amount of cars derailed. Conrail is sending clean up crews and contractors to the scene. CASE CLOSED.
